MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

India is a vast country with diverse geography, climatic conditions and farming practices.  But farm sector problems in India is not so diverse. Most Indian farmers have problems of accessing technology mostly due to lack of customization and affordability. Innovations and knowledge in agriculture technology is available but Indian farmers have either no access or limited access to those. In most part of the country farming is not yet a lucrative business; rather it is a poor person’s job.

SAATI is working directly with the farmers through its network of micro entrepreneurs and nano entrepreneurs. Our teams are minimizing the gaps of knowledge, innovation and technology through contextualization, customization and transformation. SAATI is exploring new geographies and converting it into new agriculture production hubs.

“Dr. Suresh Babu Kokku is a medical practitioner with around 20 years of experience in Asia, Africa and middle east. Post completion of his MBBS in clinical medicine, he has completed Master in Public Health from Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. Being a certified lifestyle medicine physician, he believe that the disease burden of the world can be reduced through consumption of plant based diets and improve life style”

There is a rapid increase in the prevalence of chronic diseases in India which is primarily attributed to nutrition and lifestyle. Adoption of a predominantly whole food, plant-based dietary lifestyle is critical to address the chronic disease challenge.  However, the good quality hygienic agricultural produce is scarcely available in the market.

We at SAATI aim to address these challenges across the agricultural value chain to provide healthy dietary options for the end user at an affordable price. SAATI intends to equip the farmers with latest technology to increase crop yielding and facilitate the market access for farm produce. We intend to deliver best quality products at affordable prices at the doorstep of the customers. SAATI is passionate about contributing towards healthy diets and healthy nation

    Ms.Rajia sultana

    Founding Director

“Ms. Rajia Sultana Barbhuiya is a MA in Sociology with specific interest on issues of women in India. She has a decade of experience on studying the position of women in India in different societies and various sectors-especially agriculture. She believes in empowerment of women in agriculture to enhance agriculture productivity”

In India farmers are always male and farm workers are mostly female. Almost half of the agricultural labour force in India is comprised of women. Tractorization help to reduce the labour of males. The plights of women are still same. As around 90% of women do not own land, so they are not categorised as ‘farmers’ in official records and hence they do not get institutional credit for farming or farming subsidies. This reduces the agricultural productivity of the land cultivated by women farmers.

We at SAATI would like to bring in farm modernization concept to help millions of Indian female on-farms to reduce their labour& improve access to credits. We want to recognize efforts of Indian women on-farms as farmer and entrepreneur.

    Mr. Om prakash

    Founding Director

“Mr. Om Prakash Mukhiya is a Post Graduate of Rural Management from XISS with over 13 years of experience in social sectors in Africa and India. He has led multiple Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives of renowned corporate houses. He believes that India can become self-reliant through enhance productivity and increase in the income of farmers. This can be achieved through farm modernization beyond ‘tractorization’, and corporate engagement in agriculture”

COVID-19 crisis once again proves that agriculture is more essential than ever. We simply cannot afford to compound a health crisis with a food crisis. We must need to induce technology in agriculture to grow enough food to feed the Nation. In India ‘tractorization’ is considered as modernization; ignoring the role of non-tractor farm equipment and technology. SAATI is providing all modernization essentials at the door step of farmers to increase productivity. SAATI is also working with business establishment to enhance access to markets and increase profitability.

    Mr. Jitendrakumar

    Founding Director

“Mr. Jitendrakumar Sureshbhai Mistry is a Chartered Accountant with a decade of work experience in various countries mostly in corporate sector. He is having knowledge and expertise of corporate governance and management of finance of large corporate house. He believes that innovation and reform in agriculture is important to make India economic superpower”

The dream of ‘Atmanirbar Bharat’ or self-reliant India will not come true by ignoring agriculture sector in which 70% of Indians depend directly or indirectly. Indians need to work on agriculture commodity specific intervention to become economic superpower. Our heavy dependence on agriculture imports such as palm oil, soy oil, sunflower oil etc. needs to be reduced through improve production and processing.

SAATI is working to organize farmers to undertake initiatives for commodity specific interventions to reduce India’s dependency on agriculture imports. Our endeavour is to contribute to governments efforts to become ‘Atmanirbar Bharat’ through bringing in self-reliance in agriculture sector
